Last updated on Monday, October 22, 2007

(UNDATED) - Indiana municipalities received their second disbursement of “Major Moves” funding, which will be used by Lawrence and Orange County and local governments primarily for infrastructure projects.

Lawrence County Commissioner President Bill Spreen said their share of the money is earmarked for infrastructure, including replacing the I Street bridge.

In Mitchell, their share will be spent primarily on blacktopping, though the near $65,000 total won't get far there, according to Mayor Chastain, it costs around $5,000 to pave 1 block.
