Last updated on Tuesday, October 2, 2007

(BEDFORD) - One man was arrested for a number of charges stemming from a burglary that occurred around 7:00PM last night.

According to Bedford police, 22-year-old Zandariah Hill was allegedly spotted by a woman coming home with her kid near the 1000 block of 23rd Street. The lady came in through the front door, to see a man in his mid-20s running out the back.

She called police and gave them the description of the person as well as items she had found stolen from her home, including men's watches, cigarettes, old coins, a digital camera and prescription medication.

Shortly after, Bedford police spotted the man nearby in between 2 other houses. Hill allegedly escaped through a cornfield near 25th and K Streets.

Around 10:00PM, a second call of a suspicious person came in, of a male who matched the description of the first call. Bedford police made contact, Hill reportedly ran, but was caught a half block later.

Hill stands charged with felony counts of residential entry, burglary, and possession of stolen property as well as 2 misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest.
