Last updated on Monday, September 24, 2007

(SCIPIO) - A Jennings County man is being held for allegedly stabbing his brother.

State police Seymour say they were called by Jennings County sheriffs to assist in a reported stabbing that occurred in Scipio Thursday night.

Upon arrival, troopers found 30-year-old Frank Bowling bleeding from apparent knife wounds. It was indicated his brother, 39-year-old Christopher Bowling of Elizabethtown, was the attacker, and that he had fled through a nearby cornfield.

Troopers eventually caught up with the brother and took him in.

Frank Bowling was initially listed in serious condition and was flown by helicopter from St. Vincent Jennings hospital to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis where he was released Saturday morning.

Christopher Bowling faces felony charges of aggravated battery, and battery with a deadly weapon.
