(BLOOMINGTON) - Former 9th district Indiana Congressman Lee Hamilton will speak at Indiana University Bloomington Wednesday afternoon as part of a course on science and public policy.

Hamilton, who gained recent notoriety as co-chair of the Iraq Study Group with former Secretary of State James Baker, will be giving his speech at the Indiana Memorial Union a little after 3:00PM Wednesday.

IU associate professor Faiz Rahman started the course Hamilton is speaking to to help future scientists communicate with government officials, policy makers and news media.

Hamilton represented Indiana's 9th, which includes eastern Monroe county as well as Jackson, Washington and Orange, for 34 years. The district is currently represented by Democrat Baron Hill.

Correction: Congressman Hill's party affiliation was initially, incorrectly listed as "Republican." We apologize to Congressman Hill and his constituents for the error.
