Last updated on Wednesday, August 29, 2007

(BEDFORD) - An Oolitic woman was arrested last night for possession and public intoxication.

31-year-old Jamie Moore was in the Bedford Walgreen's when store employees reportedly noticed she was intoxicated.

Bedford Police were called to the scene where Moore remained and police arrested her for public intoxication. When police searched her person, they found marijuana and 2 prescription drugs, hydrocodone, more commonly known by its brand name Vicodin, a synthetic opiate, and diazepam, otherwise known as Valium, which, according to Wikipedia, is commonly used to amplify the effects of opiates such as hydrocodone.

As a result, Moore was further charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance.
