(BEDFORD) - Bedford Urban Enterprise Association Interim President Natasha Johns continues to raise money for two playground projects.
The first playground is located at the Edgewood Park next to the Bedford Regional Medical Center on 16th Street, the second one at Sycamore Park at 8th and "T" Streets.
About $22,000 has been donated so far towards the playground project. That's roughly a third of the money needed for both projects.
Johns says they are planning two build days the weekend of August 4th. They will construct the Edgewood Park on Saturday and the Sycamore Park on Sunday.
Johns also notes that the organization is selling pieces of the playgrounds with a plaque listing the names of the donors.
