(BEDFORD) - Alert employees at the CVS Drug Store in Bedford thwarted an attempted theft.
Police say a 17-year-old teen was seen leaving the store with a bottle of vodka. He was stopped in the parking lot and police were called to assist.
When police arrived they found the youth smoking. The young man was then charged with theft, minor in possession of alcohol and tobacco.
The Lawrence County Probation Office intervened and sent the teen back to his mother.
