(BEDFORD) - With summer about a month away, the Stone City Fraternal Order of Police are preparing for their annual fundraising drive.

Stone City FOP Officer Brandon Woodward says the money collected will be used to donate back to the community and support local police. He says donations will be given to the Thornton Memorial Boys Club and the Limestone Girls Club. Local soccer, baseball and softball teams benefit, too.

The Stone City FOP also participates in the annual Shop With A Cop for needy children program during the Christmas holiday. All donations remain in Bedford and Lawrence County and the fundraising drive is not using the telephone to solicit.

If you are interested in contributing to the Stone City FOP, contact Brandon Woodward at the Bedford Police Department or visit stonecityfop.com.
