Last updated on Friday, May 11, 2007

(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce 91st Annual Dinner was held last night at the Bedford National Guard Armory.

Hundreds of businessmen and women from the Bedford area enjoyed the fine food sponsored by GM Powertrain.

Indiana Attorney General Steve Carter was the special speaker. He spoke on the various programs he has started including the Do-Not-Call list which prevents unsolicited sales calls to Hoosier homes. Carter noted that over 3.5-million Hoosiers have requested to be added to the list.

The highlight of the evening was the awarding of the Community Service Award. A surprised Reverend Bob Dailey received the honor. Dailey was chosen among other nominated individuals.

Dailey is Senior Minister of the First Christian Church in Bedford and is very active in many charitable organizations.
