(BEDFORD) - Students at the Parkview Primary and Intermediate schools were put in a lockdown Thursday.

The elementary students were prevented from leaving or entering the building after a North Lawrence Community Schools employee became involved in a domestic dispute with her male acquaintance.

School officials were aware of the situation and called for the lockdown as a precaution.

The couple lives in Bloomington. Police there found Gulab Parab and charged him with intimidation with a deadly weapon. Parab was taken to the Monroe County Jail.
