Last updated on Thursday, April 5, 2007

(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Urban Enterprise Association, the City of Bedford and ARA are working on Phase 2 of the Old Milwaukee Depot grant application.

BUEA Director Jamie Harris says as part of the application process, letters of support from community minded individuals and organizations are needed to send to the Indiana Department of Transportation - TEA Program.

Harris relates how the depot was built in 1899 and aided in the growth of Bedford by transporting millions of tons of limestone and thousands of passengers across the nation.

Letters are needed by April 10th and can be sent to the Bedford Urban Enterprise Association office, 919 - 14th Street in Bedford or faxed to 275-8466.
