Dogwood Festival Receives Queen/Jr. Miss

(ORLEANS) - The 2007 Dogwood Festival in Orleans was blessed with royalty Saturday night.

The Dogwood Queen contest and Junior Miss contest were held. Baili Albertson became the Dogwood Festival Queen with her court of Emily Reynolds, Emily Grace and Ashley Cowan. Baili was chosen as Miss Congeniality as well.

In the Junior Miss contest, the four Princesses were chosen. They are Keisha Morgan, Aviella Qualkenbush, Jennifer Anderson and Riley Hawkins. Miss Congeniality was Aviella Qualkenbush.

The Citizen of the Year was chosen. Sue Williams was voted as the winner.

Tonight the Orleans School Choirs and Pep Band will perform at the Bandstand and Veterans Way area. And the GFWC Art Reception will be held at the Orleans Public Library.

The Dogwood Festival Parade will highlight the week to be held Saturday, May 5th at 2:00PM.
