Myers' Laywer Will Continue Representation

Last updated on Monday, March 5, 2007

(MARTINSVILLE) - The man convicted of murdering 19-year-old Bloomington resident Jill Behrman will get free counsel during his appeal.

Attorney Patric Baker filed notice this week that he would continue representing John Myers at no charge. Myers was convicted in October 2006 for the May 2000 murder of Behrman, an Indiana University student. Myers was convicted to 65 years in prison.

Baker had previously filed a motion to correct errors he alleged were made during the trial. The judge in the case denied that motion.
