(BEDFORD) - A new way to pay county taxes will begin in Lawrence County soon.
Lawrence County Treasurer Debbie Thompson has been looking into a way that taxpayers can use their credit cards to pay taxes.
Jansen Purdue, with Certified I.T., is offering the county a free service that will allow taxes to be paid online as well. Purdue said a charge of 2 and three-quarters percent will be added to the bill.
It is unclear when the service will begin.
