(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University officials say they hope signage already on the Bloomington campus will help people avoid the tragedy which took the life of Purdue freshman Wade Steffey.

The school has spent the past year posting conspicuous red and white signs warning of rooms which contain units using high voltage. Those same rooms have also had their locks upgraded to make it more difficult for unauthorized personnel to gain access.

Officials say Steffey's death has made the school more conscious of possible dangers and say they're considering adding alarms in dangerous rooms of dormitories to prevent students from wandering into a dangerous place.
