Cold Weather Tips To Start Your Car

Last updated on Monday, February 5, 2007

(UNDATED) - Cold weather is causing autos that have not been maintained difficult to start.

Experts say there are three things one can do to prevent the hassle of a dead engine:
1. Check your battery
2. Check you anti-freeze level
3. Add a gasoline anti-freeze to your tank when you fill-up.

If your vehicle won't start the first few times, don't continually turn over the engine, it will only cause more damage. Another tip, if your vehicle has frozen doors, don't pour hot water on them because it could easily shatter the glass.
