Accident Damages Budget Inn

Last updated on Thursday, February 8, 2007

(BEDFORD) - The snowy conditions Tuesday caused the driver of a Chevy Tracker to crash into the Budget Inn motel south of Bedford.

Police say 42-year-old Tami Hudar, of Mitchell, slammed on her brakes sliding off the left side of Mitchell Road going over an embankment and striking a fence. Her vehicle continued on, hitting a natural gas meter and then the Budget Inn building.

The Bedford Fire Department was called to turn off the natural gas. Duke Energy was contacted and assisted at the scene. Hudar was apparently not severely injured in the accident.
