(BEDFORD) - Today is the first day political hopefuls can file for a city or town office for a major political party in the 2007 Municipal Primary Election.
In Lawrence County, Indiana State Form CAN-42 should be filed in the County Voter Registration Office, Room 20, in the County Courthouse in Bedford. Office hours are from 8:30AM to 4:30PM. Filers have until noon Friday, February 23rd.
Lawrence County Clerk Julia Blackwell Chase Brinegar reminds voters that Wednesday, February 7th is the first day an application to vote by absentee ballot may be received. Forms are available in the Voter Registration Office, Room 31, in the Lawrence County Courthouse or you can go online to www.in.gov/sos/elections for a form.
