(BEDFORD) - Newly-elected Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig has released the balance sheet of the Lawrence County Jail’s Commissary Fund.
Craig inherited the fund after starting his new position on January 1st. The balance is just under $25,000.
During his campaign for sheriff, Craig pledged to share information with the citizens of Lawrence County. He says he feels the community is entitled to know about the county jail's commissary fund.
In July, Craig says he will release a complete accounting of the fund for the first six months of his administration.
