Police Look For Stolen Bloomington Swords

Last updated on Thursday, January 18, 2007

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police say they’ve seen an increase in sword thefts in the city.

Large blades from Tomcats Pawn Shop have been stolen followed by a sword missing from an office building. Police say they do not see a connection with the burglaries, but acknowledge it's an odd item to steal.

Each sword is worth about $300 dollars. The swords are for decorative purposes. Police are asking anyone who may have seen these swords to come forward, in hopes the missing items may be returned.
