Bedford City Council To Hold Shortened Lengthy Meeting

Last updated on Tuesday, January 9, 2007

(BEDFORD) - The Bedford City Council will meet tonight with a shortened agenda.

They will be meeting at the Chamber of Commerce building due to construction on the front door of the City Hall. Originally, Carl Rosborough was scheduled to discuss the sign ordinance issue. Rosborough had become upset with signage in front of a Bedford resident. He called City Hall last night deciding to not appear.

Discussion of the smoking ban for Bedford is expected to bring a large crowd tonight. Also, the board will elect the City Council President and continue to discuss obtaining a fire truck loan for a new 100-foot ladder truck for the city. It all begins at 6:45PM tonight.
