Cabinet Spot For Tim Roemer?
(UNDATED) - Indiana Senator Richard Lugar has disavowed any interest in becoming President-Elect Barack Obama’s Secretary of State.
But another Hoosier could find his way into Obama's cabinet. Tim Roemer served six terms in Congress and was a member of the 9/11 Commission.
Former Indiana Rep. Lee Hamilton, who served with Roemer in the House and on the Commission, predicts Roemer will be "seriously considered." He says the challenge may be which post to put him in.
Hamilton says Roemer's early and active support of Obama's campaign should give him a leg up.
