Daniels, Long Thompson Kind Of Talk Public Safety

(UNDATED) - The candidates for governor haven’t talked much in this campaign about public safety.

Governor Mitch Daniels says law enforcement is primarily a local responsibility, with the state providing support where needed.

Democratic challenger Jill Long Thompson says the best anti-crime measure would be her education package, which calls for more vocational education and a more flexible curriculum in an effort to bring down the dropout rate.
