(UNDATED) - New polls in Indiana are out in major elective races including the presidential and gubernatorial races.

On August 16th through 18th, Survey USA shows Arizona Senator John McCain having regained his lead, albeit a small one, in Hoosier territory, leading Illinois Senator Barack Obama 50% to 44%.

The 6 point spread in the poll is larger than the 3.9% margin of error, and erases the previous 1% lead Obama had in a previous poll conducted June 23rd.

However, a realclearpolitics.com poll of polls still shows McCain with a much smaller 1.3% average lead.

In the governor's race, however, the spread is much more decisive. Incumbent Republican Governor Mitch Daniels is cleaning Democratic challenger Jill Long Thompson's proverbial clock in an August 19th Survey USA poll, leading 52% to 38%, with Libertarian Andy Horning and independent Chris Stried taking 3 points each. In both polls, Survey USA says their sample consisted of 645 likely voters.
