(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Secretary of State’s office is getting some big numbers in terms of new and updated voter registrations.

Secretary Todd Rokita says new and updated registrations in the Hoosier State have passed the 500,000 mark, bringing the total number of registered Hoosier voters to 4.4 million.

And there's still six weeks to go before the voter registration deadline. Rokita estimates the nation will see its biggest turnout for an election in history when polls open November 4th.

Hoosiers have until October 6th to register to vote in this year's national elections.
