(UNDATED) - Heath care is the number one issue for disabled vets in the presidential election.

Joe Violante, National Legislative Director for Disabled American Vets, says unlike Medicare or Medicaid, health care treatment for America's veterans is not guaranteed.

He says Congress has been consistently late in delivering a budget to provide the Department of Veterans Affairs the resources to care for America's veterans.

518,000 veterans live in Indiana and VA expenditures total $1 billion in the state.
