(UNDATED) - People who vote in Indiana’s primary election tomorrow will be showing those government-issued photo ID’s after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled against the state Democratic party last week and upheld the photo ID law.
Peter Ferrara, general counsel for the American Civil Rights Union, supported the Indiana law with a brief filed with the court saying it doesn't put extra burden on anybody. Democrats claim the law sometimes keeps the poor, minorities and the elderly from voting.
Ferrara says the record shows that 99% of the voting age population in Indiana already has a photo ID in the form of a driver's license, passport or other identification and anyone can vote absentee without an ID.
