(FRANKFORT) - It’ll take two people to replace Kokomo Republican Jim Buck in the Indiana House.

A caucus has selected Heath Van Natter of Kokomo to complete Buck's term after Buck filled a senate vacancy. But four precinct leaders switched sides to endorse Clinton County Auditor Jacque Clements to replace Buck on the November ballot. She'll face car-repair shop owner Bob Snow.

Van Natter will be able to handle constituent issues for the next six months, but won't participate in any legislative sessions. The general assembly has adjourned until after the November election.

Two other candidates had filed for the seat, but withdrew before the caucus.
