(UNDATED) - The Barack Obama presidential campaign has been bombarding Hoosier media sources with press releases the past several days, and its looking to be the result of his dropping numbers in Indiana polls.
His troubles started earlier this week with the release of an anti-Obama ad by the 527 group "American Leadership Project," whose legal status has been put into question by a complaint filed by the Obama camp to the FEC, claiming the ALP should be a committee, which has much tougher restrictions on fundraising.
Additionally, in 4 of the last 5 polls conducted by differing polling agencies, Clinton has shown healthy leads ranging from 5% to 10%, the remaining poll, done by Zogby, showing a tie at 42%.
A realclearpolitics.com poll of polls shows Clinton with a current 6% average lead. A poll of polls conducted by WBIW News shows Clinton with a 5% average lead since March 29th.
Going into the final weekend, Obama is barely leading in declared superdelegates, having grabbed 5 to Clinton's 4 with 3 undecided and one yet to be selected at the state party convention, but Obama has a lot of ground to make up in general polling.
However, there is one tiny ray of light for him, in that a lot of his support comes from the younger, tech-savvy crowd, many of whom don't have home phones and, therefore, cannot participate in phone polling.
