(SOUTH BEND) - Barack Obama is offering rare praise for his rival Hillary Clinton, as the two presidential contenders crisscross Indiana in advance of Tuesday’s primary.

"The truth is, Senator Clinton has a very good health plan," Obama told about 80 people at the Saint Joe County Fairgrounds in South Bend. But Obama says the difference between his plan and Clinton's is how they'd get it passed.

Obama says he'd make a health-insurance bill exhibit a in his vow to create more transparent government, holding open meetings with doctors, nurses, insurers and other stakeholders.

Obama says that would ensure no congressman could take up the cause of special interests without notice.
