IU Law Prof. Says "Operation Chaos" Illegal In Indiana
(BLOOMINGTON) - An Indiana University law professor contends nationally syndicated radio host Rush Limbaugh is breaking Hoosier law.
Professor Pat Baude says Limbaugh's so-called "Operation Chaos," could be a Classs-D felony in Hoosier country.
"Operation Chaos" is the show host's effort to get Republicans to switch party affiliation to vote for New York Senator Hillary Clinton in order to sow discord within the Democratic primary process and, according to his website, ideally lead to riots at the Democratic National Convention in Denver in the same vain that riots broke out at the 1968 convention in Chicago, which resulted in millions of dollars worth of damage.
Baude says it is illegal for Hoosiers to participate in deceptive crossover voting.
Though Baude contends it would be exceptionally difficult to prosecute individual voters, it is still a felony for a third party, like Limbaugh, to induce voters to participate in felonious conduct.
Limbaugh has affiliates all over the state of Indiana, including 1340 WBIW.
