Indiana Looking To Be Focus State In General Election
(UNDATED) - After next week’s final primaries in the Democratic race for president, look for Indiana to become part of ground-zero for the general election.
Currently, most state-by-state polls have 3 of the 4 Lake Michigan states, including Indiana, listed as battleground states for the fall.
Depending on the source poll, Indiana is listed as a tie, and Michigan and Wisconsin are listed as weak Republican or tie states, both of which went Democratic in the 2004 election.
This puts Indiana in a precarious position for the second time in this election cycle since Indiana's electoral delegation hasn't voted for a Democrat since Lyndon Johnson in 1964. And that time was also over an Arizona senator, that being Barry Goldwater.
In fact, one site, electoral-vote.com, shows Indiana being the possible deal closer for Illinois Senator Barack Obama.
So, get ready for more electioneering, Indiana. It's most likely coming our way again this year.
