(UNDATED) - When it comes to politics in Indiana, it seems both of our major, statewide primary races are tied.

In a Research 2000 poll conducted between March 31st and April 2nd, Democratic presidential contenders Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are, statistically, tied.

Clinton has a slight edge at 49% to Obama's 46%, putting their spread within the 5% margin of error. 3% listed "other" as their choice and 2% say they are undecided.

Obama has a commanding lead of 63% to 36% among voters between ages 18 and 29, while Clinton is dominating the Illinois senator among voters over 60 years old, 60% to 34%.

However, that's an overall decrease for Clinton, who was leading with Hoosiers in general 52% to 43% in a March 31st SurveyUSA poll.

Right now, in Indiana, the economy ranks among the biggest concerns, followed by Iraq and health care.

In the Democratic gubernatorial primary, guess what, another tie.

Jim Schellinger is leading Jill Long Thompson 41% to 39%, but there's plenty of work left to do by both camps in getting the remaining 20% of undecided voters.

Schellinger seems to do best with the college crowd, while Long Thompson leads with baby boomers.
