Buyer Looks To Cut Off "Counterfeit" Prescription Drugs

(INDIANAPOLIS) - One Indiana congressman is pushing for tougher laws to keep counterfeit drugs out of the US.
Republican Steve Buyer (R-IN 4th) says international drug-makers are another form of "the criminal element."
Buyer says the FDA does not have the power to destroy counterfeit drugs. He is proposing legislation to change that.
Buyer says seniors and the poor are taking their lives into their own hands by buying drugs off the internet from other countries.
Many seniors and low-income families have turned to international pharmacies to save money on prescriptions.
