Rep. Hill Rated Third Most Centrist Democrat, What Does That Mean?

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Indiana 9th District Democratic Congressman Baron Hill has something new to boast about.
The National Journal has rated him as the 3rd most centrist Democrat in the House of Representatives.
However, a number of political analysts have opined that these ratings mean very little.
When the National Journal rated Illinois Senator and presidential hopeful Barack Obama as the most liberal senator, it was noted that the only difference in rated votes between him and New York Senator Hillary Clinton was about 2 or 3 votes, however, those couple votes put Clinton as the 17th most liberal.
Congressman Hill, however, says his centrist rating closely resembles his Southern Indiana constituency.
