Rep. Hill Gets Behind Border Security Accountability Bill

Last updated on Monday, March 10, 2008

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Indiana 9th District Democratic Congressman Baron Hill has announced he wants to see more accountability in border enforcement spending.

Hill has signed on to House Bill 5552 which is aimed at requiring reports on Uncle Sam's efforts to secure the border.

This coming as a result from Boeing Company's failure to set up a so-called virtual fence along the border, costing taxpayers around $20 million.

The Border Security and Accountability Act will require the Department of Homeland Security to submit detailed reports once a quarter.
