(STATEHOUSE) - State Representative and 7th District Congressional candidate David Orentlicher has presented a seven-point ethics pledge.

As a congressman, Orentlicher is pledging not to accept political action committee money. He also said he will not accept gifts from lobbyists or meet with former staff members or lawmakers who become lobbyists.

Orentlicher is a doctor and teaches medical ethics at IU. He says it's important to be above even the appearance of impropriety and he's asking all of the 7th Congressional District primary candidates to sign the pledge as well.
