Names Removed From Tippecanoe Ballot
(LAFAYETTE) - The Tippecanoe county election and registration board is removing two candidates from the Republican primary race for county council.
The panel ruled the candidacy paperwork for Dick Nagel was not valid. The person who notarized his document was not the person whose name appears on the notary seal.
The board found Keith Underwood likely does not exist, since his home address is an empty field near Romney.
Board President Bob Reiling says a letter confirming the man's voter registration also came back to the election and registration office as undeliverable.
