"Hoosiers For Hillary" Push Housing Crisis Plan

Last updated on Wednesday, March 26, 2008

(UNDATED) - Hoosiers For Hillary are touting their candidate’s plan to patch up the housing crisis.

Clinton Campaign Senior Economic Advisor Laura Tyson says the plan would channel $540 million to Indiana and stop thousands of families from losing homes to banks.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's four-part plan is designed to work in tandem with President Bush's economic stimulus plan.

The plans gives $30 billion to local governments. The money allows governments to acquire foreclosed properties, make improvements, put the property back on the market and offset the costs of keeping neighborhoods together.
