Hoosier Voters Brave Rain Showers During Bill Clinton Speech
(RICHMOND) - Former President Bill Clinton made three stops in Indiana Tuesday, campaigning for his wife, Hillary. The first stop was in Lawrenceburg, then Richmond and finally Fort Wayne.
He says Hillary is best qualified to be president because of her experience during his years in the White House and as governor of Arkansas. He says Hillary can turn around such problems as the economy, dependence on foreign oil and provide better health care and will push to bring home the bulk of U.S. troops from Iraq, leaving behind a security force to help keep the situation in check.
He says the next president will immediately have five or six tough, complicated decisions to make and Hillary is better qualified to deal with it than both Barack Obama and John McCain.
Clinton spoke to a capacity crowd at a fire house in Richmond. And many more people braved the rain and stood outside... some of them able to peer through the windows of the building.
