(UNDATED) - State Representative Carolene Mays becomes the third candidate to kick off her Democratic congressional campaign for Indiana’s 7th District seat this week.
Mays is the publisher and president of the Indianapolis Recorder and Indiana Minorty Business Magazine.
Representative Mays says she's the only candidate who has direct involvement in the district as a public servant.
She favors working to improve both the nation's health care and educational systems on the front end before people reach a point of despair.
Dr. Woody Myers and State Representative David Orentlicher are also in the race for the democratic nomination in May.
