ISTEP Testing Underway... Again

(UNDATED) - Break out the number two pencils: ISTEP-Plus testing is underway for Hoosier students in grades 3 through 8.
For the first time, the standardized test to measure academic progress is being held in the spring.
Students also took ISTEP-Plus last fall, but beginning next school year, the exam will be given only in the spring.
The first part of the test through March 11th includes short answer and essay questions. The second part from April 27th to May 6th involves multiple choice.
The Indiana Department of Education says the spring testing paints a more accurate picture of just how much a student has learned throughout the year.
