Valpo President Steps Down, Will Move To Nebraska

(VALPARAISO) - After 20 years as president of Valparaiso University, Alan F. Harre plans to move to Nebraska to a farm he owns with his wife.
The 67-year-old Harre oversaw his final graduation on Sunday.
Harre led three fundraising campaigns that took in about $200 million dollars -- and the university plans to open a new student union next year.
The school's 18th president will be Mark A. Heckler -- who is provost of the University of Colorado-Denver. He will start his new job at Valparaiso on July 1.
