(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University has named a new Dean for their top-rated School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
John D. Graham, who has served as a member of the faculty at Harvard University and was the top official with the White House Office of Management and Budget, will take office August 1st.
The former dean of the public affairs school, Astrid Merget, left IU last year to take a post as Provost and Executive Vice President of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
Dean Graham, when he takes his position, will actually report to the Chancellor of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
From 2001 to 2006, Graham oversaw federal regulatory policy, statistical policy and information for the current Bush White House.
