Purdue To Require Written Essay During Application

(WEST LAFAYETTE) - High school students applying for admission to Purdue are being asked to write an essay.
The essay is optional, but university officials say it will help them get a better picture of the prospective student.
Unlike most universities, Purdue doesn't require information on extracurricular activities or service performed.
