(BLOOMINGTON) - Just because they’re arguing over who buys Yahoo! doesn’t mean Google and Microsoft still can’t be friends.

Indiana University has announced a partnership with software powerhouses Microsoft and Google to revamp their campus e-mail service offerings.

The idea is based around allowing students to use Microsoft's popular Hotmail service, and Google's popular Gmail service, while still maintaining a traditional @indiana.edu e-mail address.

This announcement follows a current trend among several university campuses that are finding their in-house e-mail services to be too over-taxed and unreliable to keep going unchanged, and too expensive to totally revamp.
