"Finding the Groove" Concert Series Showcases Young Talent
(INDIANAPOLIS) - A concert series featuring young musicians is set for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
"Finding the Groove" allows musical children to submit performance videos online to possibly be chosen to play at a series of live musical events, including one with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
The producer of Finding the Groove is Leslie Stifleman, who won a Peabody Award for her recent "Music In Me" documentary series featured on HBO.
Stifleman says she hopes the program shines light on talented children and gives them an opportunity to show the world how integral music is in life.
The world premiere of "Finding the Groove" is September 13th at IU and October 19th at Hilbert Circle Theater.
