(TERRE HAUTE) - Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is upgrading its power engineering program.

Rose-Hulman is one of the few schools in the country training engineers in ways to generate and distribute electricity.

A 100-thousand-dollar grant from Vectren will pay for new equipment, reconfigured lab tables, and a redesign of the curriculum.

Vectren Vice-President Ellis Redd says the utility expects to benefit from a new corps of well-trained engineers.
