South Haven Fire Department Wants To Start Firefighting Class At High School

(PORTAGE) - South Haven Fire Department Chief Doug Patterson says local high schools are a good source of recruits.

He's asking Portage High School to offer firefighter training as a vocational class.

Patterson says graduates would be able to go straight to work at smaller fire departments.
