(LAFAYETTE) - There’s a new email scam floating around Purdue.

Officials are warning students, faculty, and staff to be on the look-out. E-mail users are receiving messages from someone claiming to be on the Purdue webmail team. The e-mail asks for address confirmation by sending their passwords. It also threatens to eliminate accounts if the person does not reply.

Purdue IT officials are advising anyone who gets this message to not reply and delete immediately.
